Fancy Nancy Gala and High Tea

We recently catered and hosted a very special event; Sophie's Fancy Nancy birthday tea party!  Happy 6th Birthday, Sophie!  Here are some pictures from the gala celebration.

"Words can’t express my gratitude for the effort, creativity and delectable menu that you gals put together for Sophie.  It was SO special and a memory that I’ll never forget.  I truly appreciate all that you and your staff did to make it the ‘fashionable gala’ that it was!!!"  -- Sophie's mom, Robyn

What's In A Name

Sisters2

We get a lot of people asking us about our name.  "Wholy Crêpe" seems to make a lot of people laugh!  So what's in a name?

Three years ago, Paula, one of the owners of Wholy Crêpe, was working in a great job that she absolutely hated.  It was time for a change, and so Paula decided to open her very own business.  Her family had run a bed and breakfast in upstate New York for 26 years, so the natural choice was a restaurant of some kind.  A bakery was her first thought, but she wanted to do something a bit more unique and creative, so she decided to open a crêperie.  The fact that she had never made a crêpe before didn't seem to bother her at all!

She called her sister, Donne-Lynn, who lived here in Franklin, and told her the good news.  Donne-Lynn simply said "Holy crêpe!  Are you out of your mind?!" and the name was born!

The first Wholy Crêpe was opened in Glens Falls, NY, and it was a success!  The only problem?  It was a lot of work for one person! So the sisters made a deal.  Donne-Lynn agreed to be Paula's business partner if Paula would move the business to the South.

Franklin's Wholy Crêpe opened in December 2011, and quickly embraced the community.  We now proudly serve Bongo Java coffee (locally roasted!) and Ellie's Donuts (made here at the Franklin Farmer's market!)  We love being a part of the Meridian community, and look forward to serving the neighborhood for years to come!
